Thanks to our feeder Clubs

Dean Maguirc College took the opportunity to thank all clubs with players on our historic Markey Cup Winning team at a special event. Mc Elroy, thanked the clubs for the efforts in establishing close links with the Dean and for their cooperation over the years. He went on to say how both the clubs and the school have combined to develop not only this current crop of players but all Dean players down through the years. Mr Enda Kilpatrick added to that by stating that the clubs were the foundation for all players and as a school it is our job to build upon that and enhance it.

Also in attendance were two guest speakers, who needed no introduction, Martin Penrose and Stephen O’Neill. Both shared some of the experiences with the boys and provided grounded advise about playing in high pressure games. They emphasised the importance of a strong panel and the need to have prepared mentally for what lies ahead.

Dean Maguirc College would like to thank all of the club representatives, most of whom have Dean connections, for taking time out to attend the event. We would also like to thank both guest speakers for being so generous with their time and advise.
