It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our school website which hopefully you will find both informative and interesting.
Dean Maguirc College is an all-ability 11-18 co-educational school which consistently achieves much academic success and this is evidenced by our examination results each August. In addition, we continue to excel in so many extra-curricular activities ranging from winning county and national sporting titles to regional public speaking competitions.
Our mission statement “We commit ourselves to the growth and development of people” is clearly reflected in our basic aim of wanting every child who enters the college to achieve his or her true potential and make the most of his or her talents during their time here, be it five years or seven years. As a school we endeavour at all times to meet the personal, social and spiritual needs of the young people in our care.
We pride ourselves on the excellent relationships that exist amongst our staff, pupils and parents and the strong links we have with our feeder primary schools. We work very closely with many local clubs and organisations and thus our post-primary school is seen as being very much at the heart of the community.
I hope this website give you a further insight into the life of our school and enables you to see what it is like to be a pupil at the ‘Dean’.
