Activities in the Music Department

Extra –Curricular Music
The Music Department has been involved in many successes throughout the years. There have been many wins in the West Tyrone Feis both individually and as groups.
There also have been many individual achievements from pupils taking on ‘Music Medal’ exams and Trinity College Music exams with much success.
The Music Department is responsible for providing music for school masses, open nights, prize giving and productions. This instils a sense of confidence in the pupils who take part in these activities and forms friendships based on common ground.
The Music Department has enjoyed many educational visits throughout the years. These trips include: QUB Christmas Concert, ‘Mama Mia’ in the Belfast Odyssey, Musical Workshop with Phil Coulter and many other school productions/performances.
Currently we are offering vocal, violin, banjo, guitar and drum lessons. There is weekly choir and Traditional Group practise as well as practise for our up-coming production of, ‘Rock of Ages’.
